Decibels And Little Pills

Lyrics copied from songmeaningdotnet

Tuning: Tune down one whole step DGCFAD

Am                                                                                       G
Decibels and little pills and all the thrills you steal from the moon
Am                                                                                              G
Holding hands with bright new friends names are only good for gravestones
Am                                                                                                          G
Because he was sweet and so was she, and you needed love to fill the dark
Am                                                                                             G
And time is a current that only flows from warm hands to warm hearts

G                                   C       C/B    Am
No one here is going to sa------ve    you
No one here is going to sa------ve    you

In bed you said forever that the world would end if one of you let go
You woke up just in time for the sunset, you said "Let's all go to the big rock show"
And in the bar when you were playing air guitar they suddenly vanished on their little clouds
And in this place you can't find a face without a trace of despair, or a shroud

No one here is going to save you
No one here is going to save you

And you pull off your blouse, wet girls gone wild, for a crowd that just didn't want to know
And it's not your scene, everyone is mean, your eyes they say, "I don't want to know"
And how sad is that, your rebel cowboy hat, all it says is you're tonight's casualty
Oh, and the crowd is proud to look away like they've never been desperate or lonely

No one here is going to save you
No one here is going to save you
No one here is going to save you
Where's the one that's going to save you?

Mean Mark Eitzel "Gets Fat" & Other Scans

Recently I bought a scanner/printer and I have a little time off work so I decided to scan the inlay for "Mean Mark Eitzel 'Gets Fat' and post it online for those that have not seen it.

"Gets Fat" is the self published 'Cassette Product #1' by Mark Eitzel and was self released in 1982. Some of the songs formed the repertoire of the first AMC live shows. "Hold On To Your Love" appeared on debut album "The Restless Stranger" and "Shadow Of My Name" became "Big Night" on the album "Engine"

I purchased the tape on Ebay. It was being sold by a very trustworthy source so I know it is genuine. The bid became rather high. Over £100 if I remember correctly. The seller was very generous and included a couple of bootlegs on old cassettes and  "The Naked Skinnies" 7" Single "All My Life/This Is The Beautiful Night"

My favorite Mark Eitzel memorabilia has to be the signed copies of "Superhits" and "Live @ WFMU" when Mark played Dingwalls in London in 2002 I had emailed him asking if any copies was available and he had replied that there was some in London and when he was there I could mail him some money for them. To mildly put it - I was over the moon.

When you put them both together they form a picture
